Bloomingdale’s Guitar Festival which took place on January
26th and 27th, was a resounding success! Below is an
array of images from the two-day event. Day one featured student performers
playing jazz, rock, and classical guitar. The students were expertly prepared
by their teachers. The BSM guitar faculty demonstrated their musical prowess in
a faculty concert. The day had a spirit of collaboration with students playing
together in a rock band and guitar quartet, faculty members accompanying
students, and faculty members performing together as well.
Day two featured a guitar construction workshop with luthier
Garrett Lee followed by a special concert by guest artist Jerry Willard.
Faculty member Jose Maldonado coordinated the entire event which showcased the
breadth and talent of our guitar students and faculty.
