City Council Member Helen Rosenthal: November 6, 2014

City Council Member Helen Rosenthal visited Bloomingdale on November 6th to meet some music students and present the school with a Proclamation.  She also shared some insight into her role within the government and how city council impacts our community.  Below are some photo highlights of the event.

Colors of Brazil, From Folk to Jazz to Pop: November 2, 2014

BSM early childhood faculty and singer, Milene Corso, presented a concert representing many difference aspects of Brazilian Music.  She was joined by Oriente Lopez, flute/piano, Itaiguara Brandão, bass/acoustic guitar, Mauricio Zottarelli, drums/percussion.  Enjoy some pictures of the ensemble.

 

 

Schumann's Chamber Music Year: October 31, 2014

On October 31, BSM Faculty Naho Parrini, Jeremy Blanden, Kerrick Sasaki, Egil Rostad, and Tim McCullough presented a Piano Quartet and a Piano Quintet by Robert Schumann.  It is interesting to note that Schumann wrote all of his string chamber music in one summer.  Below are some photo highlights of the concert.
